Preparing Owners of a Family Business

Program presented by Cambridge Institute for Family Enterprise in Boston, MA.

The program offers an introduction to the essentials of ownership. Over three days, participants will learn the role of an owner, the responsibilities and rights of owners, how owners can appropriately interact with the board and management, the basics of shareholder agreements, understanding dividends versus reinvestment, and ownership governance among other topics. The program is designed for family members who are new to ownership or will soon become owners, or for experienced owners who would benefit from a reminder about the fundamentals of ownership, so all owners can contribute more effectively in their role.
