Perot family company moves into new campus




The Perot family, and their 250 employees, got settled in new digs in Dallas recently.

“This is the first time in 25 years we've had all our companies together,” Ross Perot Jr. told

DallasNews.com

. “All my sisters are here. My dad [H. Ross Perot] is here every day.”

The 170,000-square-foot building has three floors and includes a gym, a conference center, food services and a family museum, the article said.

The office includes the family's real estate firm, energy business, investment operations, airplane leasing division and family foundations. The office represents three generations of the family.

H. Ross Perot founded Electronic Data Systems in 1962 and sold it 20 years later for $2.4 billion. In 1988, the elder Perot led an investor group that started Perot Systems, an information technology services provider. Dell Inc. acquired that company in 2009 for $3.9 billion. He also ran unsuccessfully for president of the United States in 1992 and 1996.

“A wonderful aspect is you get to see people in the hallways we used to just communicate with by email or phone,” Nancy Perot told
