Thomas P. Melcher

Chief Investment Officer, PNC Asset Management Group

Thomas P. Melcher is executive vice president and chief investment officer for the PNC Asset Management Group. In this role, he is responsible for investment strategy, investment and segment management, investment product, portfolio and risk management, investment solutions and PNC Capital Advisors. In addition, he is responsible for the development and execution of investment policies, strategies and tactics, serves as chairman of the PNC Investment Policy Committee and is a member of the Risk Management Investment and Fiduciary, Investment Advisor Research and multiple other governance committees.

Prior to being named to his current role in December 2015, Melcher served as the managing executive of Hawthorn, PNC Family Wealth®, a business dedicated to serving the needs of individuals and families with investable assets in excess of $20 million. He was responsible and accountable for business strategy and all facets of the Hawthorn offer. Melcher continues to personally manage or co- manage over $1 billion for ultra-high net worth individuals and families and works closely with PNC and Hawthorn professionals on a number significant client relationships.

Prior to joining Hawthorn in 2004, Melcher served as senior vice president and chief investment officer for PNC Wealth Management in Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. In this capacity, he was responsible for investment activity in the markets, including overseeing and communicating PNC's investment process and strategies to investment advisors and clients.

Melcher has appeared on CNBC and FOX Business News for his expert commentary, and has been quoted extensively in the financial press, including BusinessWeek, Barron's and The Wall Street Journal. An accomplished public speaker, he often presents at a variety of local and national conferences and was quoted in “The Family Office Book,” written by Richard Wilson. He is a past recipient of the Philadelphia Business Journal's “40 under 40,” an award given to 40 of the region's top young professionals and he has been named one of the “Top 100 Wealth Advisors” in the nation by Worth magazine. Melcher is also a past recipient of PNC's Performance Award, the highest honor attainable by employees.

Melcher co-chairs the Next Generation Council of the USC Shoah Foundation Institute for Visual History and Education. He also serves on the corporate council of the National Constitution Center and the board of directors of The International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C.

Melcher has pursued graduate work in Investment Management at Drexel University and graduated magna cum laude from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio earning a bachelor of science degree in Business with a dual major in Finance and Economics.

David M. Alt, CFA, CFP®

Head of Responsible Investing, PNC Asset Management Group

David Alt is a member of PNC's Asset Management Group, responsible for providing executive-level analysis and research. He serves as the implementation lead for AMG's Responsible Investment offering. Mr. Alt also helps shape client experiences, including digital, so that advisors have the right tools to be successful. In addition, he strives to maintain a strong culture for innovation.

Mr. Alt has over 20 years of banking/investment management experience. Before rejoining PNC in 2015, he was data analytics manager at FirstMerit Bank (now Huntington Bancshares), where he also served as segment consultant to its private bank. Previously, he had served PNC for 14 years in a variety of roles, including senior analyst-product innovation, corporate risk project manager, credit risk analysis manager, senior financial analyst, and senior asset/liability analyst. Prior to PNC, he held multiple positions at KeyCorp, including predictive modeling analyst in its Strategic Analytics & Business Information Management division.

He earned both bachelor and master's degrees in economics from Kent State University. He holds Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designations. He is a member of the CFA Society of Cleveland and served on its board from 2006-12, including as president. In addition, he co-chaired the CFA Institute's Private Wealth Committee from 2011-13. Also, he is currently a leader (Cubmaster) for his local Cub Scout Pack in Gates Mills, OH.

Teresa Cook

Senior Vice President and Senior Investment Advisor, Hawthorn, PNC Family Wealth®

Teresa A. Cook is a Senior Vice President and Senior Investment Advisor of Hawthorn, PNC Family WealthSM, a business dedicated to serving the needs of individuals and families with investable assets in excess of $20 million. Ms. Cook works closely with Hawthorn Relationship Managers, Wealth Strategists, and other advisors to deliver the Hawthorn integrated wealth management experience to a limited number of families and individuals.

With more than 20 years in the financial services industry, Teresa has extensive portfolio management experience initially with affluent wealth management clients and working with a diverse UNHW client base. In 1990, she joined the Trust Division of Mercantile-Safe Deposit & Trust Company (now known as PNC Wealth Management) based in Baltimore, Maryland. As client interest has intensified along social and values-based themes, Teresa has worked closely with Hawthorn clients to develop and incorporate their values and preferences within client portfolios.

Teresa graduated cum laude in Business with an emphasis in Finance from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. Teresa is also a graduate of the ABA National Trust School and National Graduate Trust Schools held at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois and holds the CTFA designation.

Teresa was the 2014 PNC PEAK Award recipient in Hawthorn, recognizing excellence and achievement for investment professionals.

Teresa is a member of the Hawthorn Solutions Group, working with her investment colleagues to define and prioritize best in breed investment strategies for client portfolios. Teresa also heads up the Responsible Investing initiatives for the investment team.. She has served on the boards and subcommittees of several non-profit organizations in the Greater Baltimore area, is active in The United Way of Central Maryland at the Leadership level as well as Lutheran Disaster Response US.

Andrew J. Schuler, CFA

Investment Director, PNC Wealth Management

As a Senior Vice President and the Investment Director for PNC Wealth Management, Andy Schuler provides investment leadership in the creation and implementation of investment strategies. He is also the Chairman of the PNC Ohio Trust Company. He is a member of multiple PNC investment and risk management committees, including the Investment Policy and Derivatives Strategy Policy Committees. Additionally, Andy serves as an investment advisor for complex accounts. He works with a team of advisors – specialists in financial and estate planning, trust and banking services – to help clients achieve their financial objectives.

Andy joined the organization in 2001 as a portfolio manager. Prior to PNC,

Andy worked as a portfolio manager and research analyst with a regional investment management firm. He has over 28 years of experience in the financial service industry.

Andy obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in economics from The Ohio State University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. He is a past board member and president of the CFA Society of Cleveland. His other memberships include the CFA Institute and the Cleveland Association for Business Economics. In addition, Andy has been an instructor for CFA review courses at Cleveland State University teaching portfolio management and ethics.

Andy is active in the community. He serves on various boards and advisory committees. He is a board member and past chairman for Catholic Charities for the Diocese of Cleveland and currently serves as a board member for the Catholic Community Foundation.

Amanda E. Agati, CFA

Managing Director and Chief Institutional Investment Strategist, PNC Institutional Asset Management

Amanda Agati is Managing Director and Chief Institutional Investment Strategist for PNC Institutional Asset Management, and leads the team which establishes overall strategic and tactical guidance of client portfolios, oversees the evolution of investment processes, and provides thought leadership on investment issues.

Ms. Agati’s early career was spent in investment banking, advisory, and equity research positions at Legg Mason and PNC. During her tenure at Legg Mason, she actively participated on the firm's Socially Responsive Investing (SRI) group focusing on environment, social, and governance (ESG) issues and the use of fossil-free strategies in portfolios. Additionally, she participated on the firm's Institutional Investment Committee and led the firm's annual “Intellectual Capital” investment conference. Ms. Agati rejoined PNC in 2015 as an Institutional Investment Strategist.

Ms. Agati earned a BS in Finance with a minor in Economics, graduating from the Schreyer Honors College of the Pennsylvania State University, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. She is a member of the CFA Institute, CFA Society of Philadelphia, and the Philadelphia Securities Association, and sits on the boards of several nonprofit organizations.
