Generations Family Business Conference
A two-day conference designed by and for California’s family businesses, hosted by The Capital Region Family Business Center. The multigenerational event will feature educational sessions, networking opportunities and social events. The conference, now in its second year, is designed to help participants grow their businesses and manage the unique challenges of operating and transitioning a family business. The event will feature local and national keynote speakers and presenters who can provide real-life insight into the dynamics of family business.
The conference will take place Monday, January 29, from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Tuesday, January 30, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., at the Sacramento Convention Center, 1400 J St., Sacramento, CA 95814.
Partial list of speakers:
• Mike Betts, chairman and CEO, and Bill Betts, president of Betts Company, a sixth- generation, family-owned business founded in 1868. The company serves transportation and other industrial markets.
• Lamberto Frescobaldi, president of the board of directors of Marchesi Frescobaldi, representing the 30th generation of the renowned Tuscan winegrowing family.
• Mark Mariani, third-generation CEO of Mariani Packing Company, a premium quality dried fruit company, along with members of the second and fourth generations.
