Doug is an accredited family business consultant with wide-ranging educational and professional experience that includes 25 years at the executive and operations level in both family and non-family owned firms in the U.S. and Europe.
Doug earned an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.

Barbara Spector, who grew up in a family business, has served on the editorial staff of Family Business Magazine since 2000 and has been the magazine's editor-in-chief since 2004. She has also compiled and edited six volumes in the acclaimed Family Business Handbook Series, most recently the all-new revised edition of The Family Business Legacy Handbook. Previously, she was the managing editor of Jewelers' Circular Keystone, a trade magazine for the jewelry industry, which is primarily composed of family businesses.
